Meet Ashley
Ashley Dorado, BSDH, CPNP, certBBM, COM®
Certified Orofacial Myologist, Buteyko Breathing Instructor, Certified Personalized Nutrition Practitioner
Owner and Founder, MyoMovement LLC
Ashley is a Myofunctional Therapist and Butekyo Instructor located in the Queen City - Charlotte, NC. Originally from the Northeast, Ashley and her husband relocated to Charlotte in 2019 - although they are still searching for the perfect NY-style pizza, they have been loving their time in Charlotte and exploring everything that it has to offer with their young toddler. Ashley is very active in her neighborhood, church, and community. She chairs the Beautification Committee for her neighborhood and served as a panelist for the United Way Grant opportunities. She is always willing to lend a hand and help make the world a happier place.
Ashley has dealt with orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMDs) directly in her personal life - this started her deep dive into the fascinating and life-changing field of Myofunctional Therapy. Shortly after welcoming her baby into the world, she had difficulty nursing and finding help to address her infant’s tongue tie and feeding challenges. Fast forward a bit - her daughter is now four - and is dealing with a variety of issues. The goal at a young age is prevention, early intervention, and growth guidance. After extensive research and countless hours of coursework, Ashley has now been able to help a variety of patients on the path to better breathing and overall functioning.
Ashley has undergone comprehensive training to achieve certification as a Munchee Certified Practitioner, Buteyko Breathing Method Instructor (certBBM), and Certified Personalized Nutrition Practitioner (CPNP) through the ANA. She has also completed the MyoCircle Advanced Training, MyoMentor, TOTS Training, and Tongue-Tied Academy Lite, specializing in tethered oral tissues.
She is now a Certified Orofacial Myologist (COM®) through the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM). Ashley remains active in her local MYO Study Club and is on an ongoing path of professional development, continuing to expand her knowledge of the science behind myofunctional therapy through a variety of online and in-person studies.
In addition to her clinical work, Ashley is a featured speaker for many groups and associations. She is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA), the International Association of Airway Hygienists (IAAH), the IAOM, and the prestigious Airway Circle. She can also be found on myofunctionaltherapist.com and actively supports airway-centered companies.
Ashley is the owner and founder of MyoMovement LLC and is excited to reach more patients and help spread the word on the benefits of Myofunctional Therapy.

Meet Whitney
Whitney McFarland, M.S., CCC-SLP
ASHA-Certified Speech-Language Pathologist & Myofunctional Therapist
Whitney is an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist with over 13 years of experience helping children and families reach their communication and oral function goals. She earned her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Western Carolina University and completed an additional 18 credit hours focused on severe disabilities and autism.
Whitney’s passion for myofunctional therapy grew from her desire to uncover the root causes behind speech, feeding, and breathing challenges. She is currently working toward her Qualified Orofacial Myologist (QOM) certification to further expand her expertise in orofacial myology.
She specializes in working with children experiencing tongue thrust, oral habits, speech sound disorders, and feeding difficulties. Whitney’s therapy approach emphasizes education, connection, and teamwork—empowering families to understand the “why” behind challenges and celebrate progress together. She finds great joy in those “lightbulb moments” when everything begins to make sense and lasting change takes root.
Outside the therapy room, Whitney enjoys spending time with her family, exploring new places, reading, and finding new ways to nurture whole-body wellness.
Meet Andrea
Andrea PriceMyofunctional Therapist
Hi, I’m Andrea, a dedicated Myofunctional Therapist and Dental Hygienist with over 18 years of experience (licensed since 2007). I have a genuine passion for helping others experience the same relief and positive changes I’ve been fortunate to benefit from myself. I believe that everyone’s journey is unique, and I love taking the time to truly get to know each person I work with—finding personalized approaches that fit their needs and support their overall well-being.
Outside of my work, I enjoy expressing my creativity through crafting, spending time in nature camping, and practicing Tae Kwon Do with my family. These activities keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of balance, connection, and movement in everyday life.
Meet Bailey
Bailey FergusonTreatment Care Coordinator
Bailey is often the first friendly face (or voice!) you’ll encounter when reaching out to MyoMovement—and for good reason. With warmth, thoughtfulness, and genuine care, she helps every client feel supported and welcomed from the start of their wellness journey.
Bailey grew up in Charlotte, NC, and now feels grateful to serve the same community through her work. She earned her degree in Sociology from Appalachian State University and has always been drawn to people-centered roles. Her natural empathy and strong organizational skills made her a seamless fit for the MyoMovement team.
After joining the practice, Bailey chose to go through myofunctional therapy with Ashley herself. Experiencing improvements in her sleep and overall well-being deepened her appreciation for the work we do and motivates her to help others access the same care.
As Treatment Care Coordinator, Bailey manages scheduling and communication while also contributing creatively behind the scenes. She’s the mind behind many of our brochures, handouts, and social media content—blending her eye for design with a passion for education to bring our message to life.
Outside the office, Bailey enjoys hiking, cooking, and spending time in the mountains with her sweet pup, Honey. She finds real purpose in helping clients feel seen, heard, and cared for—every step of the way.
